☰ Kit

iKube is a solar generator able to guarantee a power supply of about 4 kW. All you need to do to generate energy is connect PV modules to your KIT.

Similar to other household photovoltaic systems in circulation, but having the edge over its competition by means of compactness, maneuverability and ease of use. The KIT comes in the same box as the iKube, which has proven to be both versatile and resilient towards its surroundings.

In the KIT range there are three products at the moment: KIT100, KIT200 and KIT300. These names are all based on the output power of the inverter installed in the system, KIT100 having 1000W. These KITs are available form April 2013.

☰ Monitoring

circuitThe control board is able to monitor the iKube performance, keeping under constant review four elements : battery current, load current, battery voltage, voltage on the panels.

The iKube has a control board through which remote monitoring of parameters is simple.

The hardware of the card is created ad-hoc using a latest generation microprocessor AVR XMEGA guaranteeing:

  • High computing power (32 MIPS);
  • Precision in measurement (12-bit ADC, up to 2 M measurements per second);
  • Very low consumption.

The monitoring tool allows for obtaining information such as:

  • State of battery charge
  • Remaining capacity (at current load)
  • Energy balance between energy produced and absorbed

This data is directly accessible from the panel installed on the iKube, or - as an option - available remotely through the monitoring infrastructure.

The card can be integrated to this end, with a GSM module to transmit the measurements and obtain any update information remotely (eg a new firmware).
